What is Rhinoplasty?

Rhinoplasty is the plastic surgery of the nose aimed at harmonizing its proportions and enhancing facial balance. The procedure reshapes the nasal structure while respecting each patient's individual characteristics, with the goal of achieving a natural result in harmony with the rest of the face.

Does rhinoplasty leave a visible scar?

It depends on the technique indicated for each case. When there are external incisions, they are positioned in a discreet area of the columella, between the nostrils, and tend to become barely noticeable as healing progresses. In many surgeries, all incisions remain inside the nose.

Recovery time varies according to each patient's characteristics and the complexity of the surgery. The return to activities happens gradually, always following medical guidelines during the postoperative period.

Surgical planning considers the patient's wishes but also respects the nose's anatomy, facial proportions, and the limits of each case. The goal is to achieve a natural and harmonious result, preserving facial identity.

Rhinoplasty aims to harmonize the nose in relation to the rest of the face, correcting aesthetic aspects that bother the patient. Each surgery is individually planned, respecting facial characteristics and the goals defined during the consultation.

Rhinoplasty is usually indicated after facial development is complete, which typically occurs from age 16 in girls and 17 to 18 in boys. The indication always depends on medical evaluation.

The structural changes achieved through rhinoplasty are permanent. However, the natural aging process continues throughout life and may cause slight changes in the nose's appearance over the years.
